Originally from Maine , Bob Marley began performing stand up comedy in his hometown of Portland . He moved to Boston early in his career, gaining experience in a city known for spawning comedy all-stars. Marley continually proves he is no exception to the tradition. He quickly became a New England favorite, headlining his own shows.
Making his first television appearance on Comedy Central, he's also a regular stand-up on many shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, MAD TV, Prime Time Live with Diane Sawyer, NBC's Comedy Showcase, Friday Night Videos, Rodney Dangerfield's Comedy Cure on TBS, Mars and Venus with Cybill Shepard, The Martin Short Show, and he can regularly be seen on VH-1.
Marley headlines shows around the country each year, including Caesar's Palace, The Mirage, The Trump Plaza, Mandalay Bay , The Riviera, and The Tropicana. He remains an overwhelming favorite and local celebrity in his native Maine , breaking a New England Comedy club record by selling out 400 consecutive shows. His high energy and truthful way of looking at life have created a buzz that has gotten him noticed by a group of loyal fans and industry insiders alike. His family and the recent birth of his daughter, Abigail, give him plenty of original material.
Marley has entered the film world co-starring in the Boondock Saints with Willem Dafoe, for which the Boston Herald praised him as “an unknown who shines”, as well as The Breaks and Pennyweight . He recently co-starred in the romantic comedy “Liar's Club”, also starring Amy Jo Johnson and Elisa Donovan, due out this Spring. He co-wrote and stars in the short film “Mint Condition” that recently finished shooting in Maine . A talented screenwriter, he has penned several feature length scripts. In addition, he can be seen in numerous national commercials. He continues to set tour records throughout New England . Currently Bob has sold over 50,000 CD's and DVD's.
