Atlanta, Georgia born and raised, LOUIS RAMEY was bitten by the comedy bug while in college. It all started from a friendly dare, and thus he went and told a few jokes at the local jazz club in town. This first taste of “the stage” compelled LOUIS to seek his fortune in COMEDY. Since that time, LOUIS RAMEY has created quite a career for himself. He has participated in many of the Comedy Festivals including The US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, where in 1999 LOUIS was voted Best New Artist. He has also participated in The JUST FOR LAUGHS Comedy Festival in Montreal twice, in 2002 & 2003.“Louis Ramey had his share (w/Howie Mandel) of hilarious moments at the festival.” Montreal Gazette Newspaper 07/21/02
Recently in 2004 he was a participant in The Halifax Comedy Festival in Nova Scotia -all to rave reviews. One of his goals through comedy, was to travel alot and LOUIS RAMEY has become a very accomplished world traveler. LOUIS RAMEY has performed in Hong Kong with the “Just for Laughs Comedy Tour” - Singapore ‘02 to great success. There he entertained at large sized theatres and concert venues. LOUIS also has been to Guantanamo Bay - Cuba, where he entertained the troops, for a USO Comedy Central special that premiered November 2002. In November 2002 LOUIS was invited to be part of the very successful “Just For Laughs Comedy Tour,” presented by Via Rail Canada where he performed in the Maritimes in St John’s, Newfoundland, Saint John and Moncton, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia. There he played in large arenas with other JFL alumni.
In August 2003 LOUIS RAMEY was hired by NICK @ NITE to be part of The NICK @ NITE ROAD CREW

2004 has already been very busy for LOUIS RAMEY. The NICK @ NITE ROAD CREW has sent him out on location @ a variety of locales across the USA; such as the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Detroit and Los Angeles; as well as his weekly shoots here in NYC. LOUIS RAMEY has also taped a pilot for NICK @ NITE and TV Land called “Exploding Baloney!”
Look for that on - air later this year.
In April 2004 LOUIS RAMEY went to Melbourne, Australia for the taping of Comedy Central’s “World Comedy Tour 2004”. Later that month he was invited to participtate at The Halifax Comedy Festival!;where he taped an appearance for the CBC. LOUIS has performed on many Television shows in the USA, Canada and Hong Kong. His US television appearances include his own half an hour comedy special, "Comedy Central Presents: Louis Ramey," ABC Daytime's "The View," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend,"NBC's "It's Showtime at the Apollo," and CBS Televisions "48 Hour's." His Canadian appearances include, "Grumps," "Comedy at Club 54," and "Breakfast TV."
