Pickwick & Frolic Restaurant and Club Celebrate Their Two-Year Anniversary

CLEVELAND ( July 23, 2004 ) – Who could ever say that they don’t feel great when they are laughing? This is the thought that Pickwick & Frolic Restaurant and Club, Home to Hilarities 4 th Street Theatre has in mind as we go into our 2-year anniversary, month-long celebration, with the motif “Laughter is the Best Medicine”. Centered around charity-driven events, the celebration begins on September 6, 2004 – our official opening day two years previous.

The entire month will be focused on a charity event to benefit Rainbow Circle of Friends – a community outreach program that is dedicated to the support of Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital through the donation of funds, volunteer time and advocacy. Monetary as well as item donations will be collected throughout the month. $2.00 tickets for Hilarities 4 th Street Theatre will be offered with an item donation Sunday through Friday, as well as a $2.00 discount to any Saturday show with a donation. Throughout the entire month we will also provide our guests with special giveaways, food and drink discounts as well as a raffle. There will be a private members-only party for our members of the Pickwick Club, our frequent patron program. The party will be held on Thursday, September 23 rd and will be by invitation only. Any person wanting to attend this exclusive party may join the club for free by filling out an application found at our website, or by filling out an application at our box office.

The culmination of the anniversary month will be a celebration of “Laughter is the Best Medicine” as we attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Running Comedy Show. Beginning on Sunday, September 26 th at 7:30 p.m. in Hilarities 4 th Street Theatres, we will host a continual comedy show, featuring several comedians rotating time on the stage until we break the current record of 35 hours.
