The author of an upcoming book about the Booklyn Dodgers, David Krell, in doing his research came across this photo from The New York Times October 5, 1953 edition. This photo shows kids peeping through the fence at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn. One of the children being Pickwick and Frolic’s proprietor, Nick Kostis, as a ten year old boy(located center with his hand on the fence).David Krell located and reached out to Nick and asked “Are you the same Nicholas Kostis in this photogragh?” to which Nick responded “Yes, indeed it is”.
The moral of the story… Be careful your past may haunt you…..fore today, the year 2013, Nick is in trouble for skipping school in 1953. HA!
Pickwick & Frolic the best place for your ultimate date night.
